About Me

I retired recently from my job as a freelance trainer and assessor working primarily in the rail industry, delivering track safety training and assessment as well as providing consultancy services in competence management.

Fiction is a spare time activity that I do for pleasure rather than as a form of work. That said, if I sell some books, that’s fine by me. Mostly, my fiction consists of short stories crossing a range of genres, and I have stories in all but one of the Underdog Anthologies so far.

I have written thirteen novels and am working on an fourteenth. They are currently available via all main outlets, Amazon, Waterstones, Foyles and Blackwell’s for print. My eBooks can be found at Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, Kobo and Apple Books and some were previously published by Legiron Books. I have also completed four short story anthologies. Since leaving Legiron Books, I have published my back catalogue under my own brand. Meanwhile, I have recently published Rescue, bringing my Golden Age of Piracy trilogy to a conclusion, and another, ‘Railroad,’ following the fates four characters through the American Civil War came out in January of 2026. I recently completed Roundhead, a novel set in the English civil war period and Regina a speculative historical novel featuring time travel.

I primarily write historical fiction, although my Pascale Hervé novels are contemporary detective fiction with a south of France flavour. I have recently started work on a fourth outing for Pascale that picks up on threads from Recovery.
